A hundred thousand welcomes and Happy St. Patrick's Day!! What says “Irish” better than a good corny limerick??
There once was a leprechaun named McCrae
Who dreamed of playing basketball in the NBA.
But alas, he was a wimp
And quite a little shrimp –
He was stepped on and became Celtic pâté.
I wrote that limerick years ago and entered it in a St. Patrick’s Day contest on a radio station in Montreal. The winners were invited to a St. Paddy’s Day celebration at an Irish pub downtown, and there was a drawing at the pub for the grand prize... a trip to Ireland. I made it to the pub. And I was ONE person away from winning the trip. ARGH!!!!! No lucky shamrock in my pocket that day.
Anyway, in honour of St. Paddy’s Day, we’d like to thank you all for reading our blog in a green and Irish way :-)
There once was a girl from Nantucket…
Haha!! No, maybe not ;-)
There once were two design-crazy girls
Who decided to give blogging a whirl.
New friends they did meet
On blogworld’s big streets,
And today, the “thank yous” we unfurl.
It was the first month, on the sixteenth day
That we set DesignTies out on its way.
In just a short while,
You’ve all made us smile
With the nice things you’ve all had to say.
There are so many blogs that inspire
To their standards we strive to aspire.
With each picture, word, post
You encourage us both.
Of our blog, we hope you won’t tire.
So THANK YOU is what we both say
To the friends we have made on our way.
And we hope to meet more
As blogworld we explore.
Have a décor-filled St. Paddy’s Day!
And hey, what the heck...
There once was a girl from Nantucket,
Whose guppy Miguel kicked the bucket.
Down the toilet he went,
The scaly, finned gent.
When eating a lollipop, do you lick it or suck it? :-)
Go raibh maith agat!
Keep reading to see some cool green rooms Victoria found to share with you on the greenest day of the year :-)
