Shout-Out!

Have you discovered Karla’s blog Kerrisdale Design Inc.? What a refreshing, engaging writer! Recently she’s been sharing tales of her somewhat reluctant but burgeoning friendship Deskwith IKEA that I’ve really enjoyed… almost as much as I enjoy the photos and stories she shares about life with her beautiful children! You’re missing something if you don’t have Kerrisdale Design Inc. on your blogroll!

But do you know what makes Karla’s blog extra special? She’s a phenomenal interior Bedroomdesigner, sharing her projects and inspirations in her posts… and I love her work!!!

So if you drop by Kerrisdale Design Inc., be sure to check out Karla’s portfolio… I think you’ll be impressed with her vision and talent!Picture3

I’ve browsed through her work several times, and every time I’m there I stop and stare at one particular room. It’s definitely a space that I’m inspired by. I love practically everything about it… the dark floors ground the room wonderfully, the neutral furnishings bring a light fresh feeling to the space – they almost seem to float on the dark floors. I’m crazy about Karla’s restrained use of colour and print too – subtle yet so very tangible. And I swoon over the painting on the wall every time I see it!

I . Want . That . Painting!!

Here… take a look and tell me what you think:

Living Room

Pretty FABulous, hey?!

Karla is definitely a designer to watch!

Victoria this is down right bizarre! I just came across Kerrisdale Design Ink and briefly read her last blog post about Ikea, then bookmarked her blog/portfolio.. Just prior to heading over here to Design Ties and reading this!

Coincidence?? I love hr design too, very sleek!

I agree with Nancy- love the way Karla writes. My favourite has been the Ikea post! I also love her style, restrained yet stunning! I am so drawn to her rooms, I gravitate towards a more black/white/neutral palette.
Glad we got to meet her in person, sweet gal!

How did the painting session with Nancy go? Wish I could of made it out.

Her portfolio is beautiful and she had the talented Janis photograph her work - definitely magazine worthy!
