Some pretty pics of Peggy’s Cove I took last Friday… who says it’s always foggy at Peggy’s Cove?!
The original lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove was built in 1868. It was a wooden house with a beacon on the roof. It was replaced with the current concrete & steel lighthouse in 1914. There’s a small post office in the lower level of the lighthouse. During the summer months, it serves as the village post office. Each piece of mail that’s sent out receives a special cancellation mark in the shape of the lighthouse.
And if you’re still wondering where I was when I took this picture I posted on Saturday…
I was here!! Those are my shoes at the bottom of the picture.
And speaking of boats… I have a special Nova Scotia post planned for tomorrow’s Hooked on Friday’s blog party. I hope you’ll come by and check it out :-)

Wow those are some gorgeous photos Kelly! And you're brave to sit/stand up in the front of the boat like that!
I love..love..love these photos. What a gorgeous place Kelly. I have a huge crush on lighthouses having the op to stay in one several years ago outside of Seattle. Can't wait for tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the fun!

Wow Kelly the pictures are so clear and beautiful. Did you take those with your new Nikon?

Actually Kelly I'm thinking how wonderful those would look framed and in my shop. I just showed my sister and she is amazed by them too!
Real Nice.
What a beautiful place! Your pictures are very nice and look very professional. I really like photos No 6 and 7!

Your images are beautiful! They would look lovely framed!
Gorgeous - margie just got home from a quick trip down east last week ... she is promising us photos but I haven't seen much yet ... we're both so busy staging and trying to sell our houses!
Oh, do I love lighthouses! It looks fantastic against all the blue. And that there is a little post office branch in there for the season, how interesting and fabulous. I suppose you didn't get sea sick on that ship! I might have.
Beautiful pictures, Kelly! The lighthouse is gorgeous, but the sky is pretty, too. The clouds look like brushstrokes from a paint brush!
great trip, great pics! I LOVE that first one: the sky is amazing and the one further down taken from the very low perspective looking up at the lighthouse is pretty dynamite too my dear!
What a lovely spot. There's something so magical about lighthouses.
