Kelly @ JAX Decor & Design
Well, sort of – it came today in my mailbox :-)
I’m not really into pink & flowers when it comes to home decor, but the cover of the April issue of Style At Home is just so pretty. The vibrant pinks and greens really brighten up a gloomy winter day :-) And they inspired me to change up my font colour for this post. I won’t be typing in pink again any time soon… but for today, it just feels right :-)
I haven’t had a chance to read the issue yet, but I can’t wait to look through the 66 pages of pure, delicious colour :-)
And, I can’t wait for spring to get here for real!! Winter has worn out its welcome. Well, actually, that happened when the first big storm hit… and then again when the temps went down to –35 with the windchill. Yep, that’s cold!!
The third weekend in May (Victoria Day weekend here in Canada) is the traditional start to the gardening season here. It’s finally warm enough for annuals to go into the ground and the danger of frost has passed. Usually. But not always… if you’re a plant here in eastern Ontario, you need to be tough!!
Until the snow melts and the flowers start to bloom, I’ll have to get my spring fix from pictures of flowers from seasons past…
And my absolute most FAVOURITE flower… blue hydrangeas…

I wouldnt describe myself as too "Lily Pulitzer<" BUT! I love pink and green together, so lovely and energetic. And flowers are essential. I cant wait for my peonies to bloom...not much longer now!
Glad you like the cover; we here at the magazine absolutely love it, too! Kudos to design editor Christine Hanlon, who pulled together that scrumptious vignette. It really made us all feel fresh and springlike in the midst of some dreary, frigid winter days!
