Flowers, showers, and After Hours

Weehooo, it’s Friday!! Let’s start it off with some flowers…

I’ve got a busy weekend ahead, starting with my cousin’s bridal shower on Saturday. Anyone have a recipe for a great no-fail potluck dish?? Nothing like waiting till the last minute to whip something up ;-)

And Sunday is the season-end recital for my step dance class. We’ll be doing the jig to live fiddle music, as well as a reel we’re calling “After Hours”. We’ll be dancing to What’s The Rumpus by Gaelic Storm. You can check ‘em out live here. Here’s a video of our routine from a few years ago. I’ll leave it up to you to figure out who I am ;-)

Have a great weekend, everyone!!

I have a pot luck dish for you! my step mother makes it... dice up a whole watermelon, dump 1 cup of light rum in it, and the chop up as much fresh cilantro as you want and sprinkle it in. Chill for 3 hours. it's literally amazing, and such a light summer treat.

Very cool that you dance. I would be way to terrified to get my butt on stage. Lovely flowers. Have a great weekend.

Okay are you second from the left???? Pot luck - I usually do up a cold pesto pasta salad with roasted pepppers. Cook fusilli pasta, run under cold water, add the pesto and roasted peppers and onions.
Have a great time at the shower and recital!!

Gee, when I make that YouTube comment on FB the other day - I was just kidding - but now I see - this is serious step-dancing!! Which you guys rock at, btw!

Lovely clematis. I am waiting patiently for mine to bloom. It is going to be amazing this year, there must be 100 buds.

Hope the shower was fun. What did you end up making?
