I’ve just-this-very-moment discovered another fantastic Canadian lifestyle/design blog that you MUST check out!
Emma, an Exhibition and Interior Designer by day, is the creative vision & “pen” behind The Marion House Book. She and her husband Myles, along with baby Harry, own what looks to be a fabulous and old Victorian house in Toronto… and – I quote from her About page…
“The Marion House Book is a collection of stories about my life and home. Within the walls of this old Victorian house, I experiment with interior design, cooking, baking and do it yourself projects. Anytime of the day or night, you may find me whipping up a batch of brownies, moving objects around or painting walls. Nothing makes me happier than being at home with food on the table, family at my side and projects on the go.”
If that isn’t enough to get you over to check out her blog, how about this? The beautiful, eclectic, originally & artfully decorated home she shares with her family was just featured on HGTV.ca’s (Canada) Style Sheet blog’s “Original Home Tour” series! Believe me when I say that Emma’s home deserves the attention!
Here… let me show you a few rooms, starting with the kitchen…
The room she created for her son Harry is sooo darling!
I love her bathroom in black and white! (Confession: Being an owner of a tub exactly like Emma’s – one in which we’re currently forced to shower and not bathe – I’m sad to say I’m not a fan… although Emma’s bathroom makes me WISH I loved it more!)
And some lovely living room shots:
Emma and Myles’ bedroom is also a dream in dark slate grey & gold… but you’ll have to see pics of THAT room, as well as some other terrific rooms (like the dining room with a large painting over the credenza that I’m coveting!), in the HGTV.ca Style Sheet post =)
Once you’ve taken in all the lovely photos over at HGTV.ca, be sure to head over to Emma’s The Marion House Book blog… and add her to your blog roll!

Emma commented on my blog post yesterday, so I just discovered her blog too. Always fun to discover local design bloggers and peek inside their homes. Emma's is very stylish - love the artwork and her entrance/stairs with the panel moulding.

Thanks for the link to such a lovely blog. I lover her style and I'm overjoyed to see a crib with no bumper pads (I know I'm a little nuts on that score :).
