I know, but I’m not telling… yet!! ;-) First, there are a few things to take care of…
For starters, Sharon at Live Your Style and Pam at GardensDesigns+more both gave DesignTies the Best Blog Award. Thank you, ladies!! :-)
There are rules that come with the award, but I like to be a rule-breaker :-) So, seeing as it’s Valentine’s Day, I’m sharing the blog love and passing along the Best Blog Award to all our blogger buddies :-)
Two Ottawa ladies I know have started their own decorating blogs. Click their logos to visit them, I’m sure they’d love to “meet” you :-)
Not only is today Valentine’s Day, it’s also the Chinese New Year. So, Happy New year!!
And finally, we can’t let Valentine’s Day go by without a pink post. Well, actually, we could, but it gives me an excuse to prolong the anticipation ;-) Plus we never talk much about pink here, and what better time to celebrate pink than on Valentine’s Day…
We have a pink bathroom, but it’s nowhere near as cool and fun as this one… hmmmm, that’s a pretty big window to have in a bathroom, isnt it?!
Simple and sleek in pink…Stripey pink…
Love, love, LOVE this pink Jamie Drake room…
Pink and orange together is a popular combination…
I’m guessing Hello Kitty was the inspiration for this bedroom!! Love the chandelier, and check out the polka dots on the ceiling :-)
Those are some seriously big cushions on the sofa!! Love the pair of tall doors, but don’t you think the upper windows would be better uncovered to let the light in??
A rainbow of colours in this pink living room…
Pink & brown look fab together. The pink piping on the sofa is a wonderful touch.
Can you believe this is a vinyl pink polka dot floor?! Vinyl, you’ve come a long way, baby!!
This room just seems to glow pink…
How about just a little bit of pink… great pink headboard and trim on the curtains.
I love the look of pendants or chandeliers hung on either side of a bed…
Ooh-la-la, sexy animal print carpet in this room :-)
A white room is the perfect backdrop for luscious pink accents :-)
Pink and green together always makes me think of spring :-)
Now, take a seat in this bright pink chair, and I’ll announce our giveaway winner…
Thanks to everyone who participated, and for blogging and/or tweeting about our giveaway. You helped make it our most popular giveaway ever!! I printed out all the names on scrap paper — to be environmentally friendly — and put them into a Galler bag. Galler happens to be a fabulous chocolatier in Belgium. YUM!! And the name I pulled out of the bag and winner of the Me Bijoux necklace & earring set is…
Amanda from
Congratulations!! And for those of you who didn’t win, you’ll have TWO MORE CHANCES soon — we have another giveaway coming up next week, and yet another in March. That one is a biggie, and ties in with a very special event starting on March 24th.

What fun pink rooms! I think my favorite is the bathroom, but I would want something to cover that window with. Especially at night! At least during the day you could see if anyone is around to peek in!
WOW! Ive never won ANYTHING before. Im blushing, while I poignantly do my miss America wave- thank-you, thank-you! ~wink
Thanks y'all are FABULOUS!

I know this post is about pink, but I really like the blue chandelier in the Decorpad picture. Congrats to Amanda!
All that PINK is FAB!!!
Ahh you're welcome. DesignTies deserves to be named best blog;)
I really like the home office in pink!
wow, that's quite an impressive round-up of pink rooms...you are quite the talented researcher! always looking for good places to source visuals.
These are great images! Thanks for sharing the pink love. I know I'm a week after V day, but I'm a firm believer that we can use pink anytime we want. What's great about these spaces that you've shown is that most of them are...HAPPY. Really happy. I can't see how you couldn't smile in a room that looks like a big piece of candy. Yum! I think the pink and brown might be my favorite - but I also love the one above it...
