Random prettiness

Some pretty rooms for your Monday, starting with some lovely Belgian–inspired dining rooms. First is this simple but elegant room done in neutrals. Isn’t the wood ceiling beautiful??

These are all just beautiful. The last room just makes me sigh. But seeing that kitchen reminds me that we forgot a major element when we remodeled ours - a fireplace! I would never leave that kitchen, it's gorgeous. Kathy

Thanks for starting out my Monday with pretty things to look at!

I was gazing at the kitchen and daydreaming about it being mine, when I thought...where's the refrigerator?! I guess my tiny kitchen isn't so bad. At least I don't have to walk far to get from the refrigerator to the sink to the oven! Have a great Monday, Kelly!

The kitchen with the curved ceiling is spectacular! It's grand, yet it feels cozy, warm, and inviting. So beautiful! Thanks for sharing these beautiful rooms!

Kelley these are all lovely rooms to look at. The third one caught my eye because of the curtains blowing in the breeze. I love a room where the fabric is light and airy and the breeze can move it gently. Love it!! Thank you for stopping by my post today, glad you like my frigescaping, it really is easy to do and to keep this way as long as the other people you live with don't touch it,hehe!!

So, these rooms all seem firmly rooted in the traditional style, without being fussy. They also have a definite sense of calm about them and most look as though they belong in the countryside rather than the city. How did I do?

Chocolate room is definitely my favorite! Then again, chocolate is the key word here.

i just made an interesting discovery about brown with light trim. i used to have white trim against my chocolate brown bathroom walls. it felt too stark, so i changed the trim to a creamier beige color. the transition feels much smoother and i really like the look. i'm starting to think- gray/black with white, brown with cream. anyone else feel that way?
