A hippopotamus. Seriously, if I hear that song one more time, I very possibly will explode.
And just so I don’t suffer hippopotamus overload alone…
Gayla Peevey is the singer. She was 10 years old at the time, and guess what – she actually DID get a hippopotamus for Christmas!! She donated it to the zoo in Oklahoma City. Because really, where would you keep a hippo??
I have never heard of that song before! Must be a Canadian thing?! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that song -- now you've got me singing it :)!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd watch out -- you'll be singing it too -- LOL!
Thank you for sharing...
ReplyDeleteWait until you see what I post next... it's very musical. Maybe I'll dedicate that post to Design Ties :)
Susan
Donna, I've been singing it for weeks!! I went to bed last night singing it, and I woke up singing it... it won't leave me alone!! Cripes, there, now I have it in my head AGAIN!!
ReplyDeleteSusan, I'm looking forward to your next post :-)
Christy, I'm going to post a song by Bob & Doug soon. They're most definitely a Canadian thing!! :-)

She really got a hippo? That's hysterical. I'll tell you another few things I don't want: My Two Front Teeth; to See Mommy Kissing Santa Claus; and I REALLY don't want to see Grandma get run over by a reindeer! Geez, where oh where is Nat King Cole when you need him??? Kathy
ReplyDeleteToo funny! And mbkatc230's comment cracked me up, too.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter just walked in and asked, "Who is singing with that weird voice?" She loved the hippo slideshow, though. :-)
