Asian-inspired bathroom project

A friend of mine asked me if I could help her make over her main bathroom. Hey, of course I’ll help!! Her bathroom is small and just has the basics — toilet, tub, and vanity. They’ll all stay where they are, because as my friend pointed out, there’s really nowhere else they can go!! Plus moving around bathroom fixtures means moving around plumbing which means moving lots of money out of your bank account ;-)

She’s hired someone to do the necessary repairs, and I’ll help her with the decorating. She likes clean, simple lines and Asian design. She thought she didn’t like glass tile till I showed her this picture:

First she loved the black vanity, then she decided that she loves the tiled wall too :-) So the first job — find a black vanity like this one and backsplash tiles. And floor tiles too. I have something in mind for the floor…

I’ll keep you posted on the progress. The repairs are supposed to happen sometime in November, and the bathroom should be finished not long after that.
