I can’t believe I won!!

I’m so excited!!

Back in mid June I entered AtticMag’s first ever giveaway ~ a 100% wool, hand-knotted rug made in India by Couristan and distributed by CSN Rugs ~ and I won!!

Here… take a look!

DSC02376 I love it!!

And… unfortunately… so does my pup, Simon

But you know… I really can’t blame him. I’ve never had a rug of such obvious quality… it’s so silky and soft!! If I were a doggie I’d want to sleep on it, too!

Another immediate problem… because our home is undergoing renovations, we’re not really settled in any of our rooms. That means that I don’t have a perfect place for it to live just yet… at least not one that will showcase it for us to enjoy!

So until the renovations are complete – and to keep Simon from getting the rug smelly and dirty – I’ve packed my beautiful rug away. But only for a little while!

I do have a place in mind for my little rug to live… and this is what it looks like at the moment!! I can’t believe I’m about to show this photo to you!!

DSC02379 What are you looking at? This is the hallway in our basement… a space that we will be completely gutting and finishing this fall. The floor will eventually be wood and it will be crying out for a sweet rug like this one… a lovely little area rug to define the space leading to our family room. It’ll be perfect!! Have faith in me Jane (from AtticMag)!!

Once the space is totally complete I’ll be sure to post a new photo of the rug in it’s proper place… in the mean time, please enjoy looking at it with me!! Don’t you love the soft colours and the interesting weave?! Again… I love it!!

I’d like to thank Jane and the team at AtticMag, as well as CSN rugs, for this fantastic giveaway!

I’m soooo happy with my prize!!

Woo hoo Victoria! That's great. It really is beautiful. Can't blame big guy for wanting to camp out on it. Congratulations. Kathy

Very nice; the colors are soft, which I like myself in a rug. Dogs know a good rug, don't they? : )

That's too lovely to hide away! Do you have any spare wall space? You could hang it-- the design seems to mimic the mosaic tiles on your hearth, only in muted colour version. And Simon could still appreciate its beauty in the room, 'cos doggies do always have the best taste. ;)
